Evidence of political influence. Some of the most interesting proof for Jesus comes from letters written by officials in the Roman government; officials like Pliny the Younger. Emerging Christianity challenged the practices of Roman behavior. And we explore that challenge in today’s class.

Dr. Nunnally continues a four part series on references to Jesus from outside the Bible. Before the end of the first century, historians were commenting on both Jesus and Christian communities. The new spiritual belief was bringing change to the Roman empire–much of which was unwelcome.
