2015 Session 36: Never Never Never Never Never …

… give up. As we bring the our study of Hebrews and “once saved, always saved” to a close, we are confronted with counsel that winds its way through the entirety of the Bible. God’s Word admonishes us to endure to the end, and never never never give up.

2015 Session 30: Strange Fire

Today’s session continues the examination of eternal security. Dr. Nunnally reminds us that even members of the Jewish priesthood served their mission, then stepped out of favor with God, and were judged on the spot, for apostasy and “strange fire.” We are further reminded: “Apostasy is the intentional standing apart from God and re-asserting mastery of self.”

2015 Session 27: One Plants – One Waters

In today’s session, Dr. Nunnally focuses our attention on 1 Corinthians 3, with specific emphasis given to verse 9. The conversation explores the logic behind Paul’s change of analogy, from an agricultural to a construction metaphor. The over-arching logic is that we are workers in the employment of God. There is no special status for those who labor together it God’s field. We build on one foundation: the one set by Christ.
