2016 Session 23: Let Her Preach (Women In Ministry)

In today’s session, Dr. Dan Crabtree focuses on women and their role in the Body of Christ. This dynamic presentation tracks the words of Paul found in 1 Timothy 2:12. Dr. Crabtree targets the context of Paul’s “oft-misapplied” admonition to Timothy, and a major failure in ecclesiastical practice. “Whether male or female, God has called everyone to service. Women have vital roles to play in ministry, teaching and leadership. A person’s godly character is of greater significance than their gender.”

Dr. Crabtree is a professor at Northpoint Bible College in Haverhill, Massachusetts. His wife, Laurilie Crabtree, is currently planting a new fellowship in the greater Boston area. Find out more about their efforts, and consider supporting this new fellowship with prayer and financial contribution.

2016 Session 22: Witness

Substituting for Wave, Steve Pulis leads a discussion on the patterns of witnessing we see in the book of Acts. The initiating circumstance is often an unplanned event that required a response. That response should reflect the Holy Spirit working through us.

2016 Session 21: God’s Voice

Wave is in Israel for the next few weeks, conducting his yearly seminar. Substituting for Wave today, Robert Crabtree invites us to consider how God communicates. Does He speak directly? Yes. Does He speak to us through dreams and visions? He does. Does He lead He lead us through unspoken, wordless revelation? Absolutely. How God speaks to us is today’s lesson.

2016 Session 20: Hope & Judgment

The prophets in Holy Scripture tend to be deeply engaged in the promise of hope, or the pronouncement of judgment. It’s a pattern. Of the biblical prophets, 85% were raised up by God to address the issues facing their time. Only 15% were engaged in foretelling, or predicting the future.

2016 Session 19: Desolation, but Not Destruction

There is a theme found throughout scripture: by God’s hand there will be judgement, but He will not completely destroy. A significant component in this theme is the concept of remnant. It’s the subject of Dr. Nunnally’s session today.
