2013 Session 15: Live At Peace

Today, we review a few of the important lessons drawn from our discussion of the Fruits of the Spirit. Sometimes, even when we’ve done our best to pursue Christ’s intention, and the counsel of the Spirit, we’re tempted to take vengeance on our enemies. Day-to-day conflict with family, friends and colleagues, becomes the stage where we can measure our compliance with Christ’s intention.

2013 Session 14: Revenge

In this session, Dr. Nunnally focuses on behavior, and the high standard that comes from the teachings of Christ. The values we’ve seen in 1st Corinthians 12 map the subject in great detail: how we are to encourage friend and enemy alike.

2013 Session 13: Law of Moses and Romans

This session is made up of two discussions. The first focuses on the Law of Moses, which comprises a massive portion of the Bible — running 60 pages longer than the whole of the New Testament. The second discussion returns our conversation to Romans, and Paul’s admonition to serve and bless the body of Christ.

2013 Session 12: Servant Life

In this session, Dr. Nunnally reminds us of the expectation God has for us all. With His blessing comes responsibility. As we organize our lives around the cross, and the resurrected Christ, we are called to servant-life, serving the best interests of others.

2013 Session 11: At The Cost of Blood

In this session, Dr. Nunnally pursues the theme, central to Easter: the Resurrection. “Jesus did not become God because He was resurrected, He was God’s Son before Israel’s covenant. He was a member of the Godhead before Genesis.  … We were reborn at the cost of blood.”
